The day we’ve been waiting for is finally here. If you’re anything like us, getting our first good trail cam photos of the year is a day to celebrate. We are stoked to see the giant whitetails showing up on camera around the Hadley Creek farms this summer!
We’ve got new trail cam pics to show. And best of all, we’ve launched the 2017 Hadley Creek Hit List! For both our hunting clients and the staff around our Hadley Creek Family, we love seeing new additions to the Hit List.
Our guides are hard at work on the farms hanging stands, clearing lanes – and of course setting game cameras! We’re starting to get a lot of pictures rolling in. Stay tuned throughout the summer for frequent updates to the 2017 Hit List Page.

Here at Hadley Creek Outfitters, trail cameras are a lot of fun but we also use them for a purpose. Our farms are 100% free range, so we only capture a small percentage of our deer on camera. It’s not meant to be an inventory tool. However, we use trail cameras to identify macro patterns that help our guides make better decisions in the field. It provides key intelligence to help make our hunters more successful.
As we prepare for the 2017 hunting season here at Hadley Creek, our farms in Pike County and the surrounding “Golden Triangle” part of Illinois are in excellent condition. You can see from these early trail cam pics that we’ve got excellent numbers of big whitetail bucks this year. Based on the number of quality young deer we’ve seen over the last few years, we expect this year to be excellent.
As always, we will be enforcing a 140” minimum (or at least 4-years-old) on all of our hunts. That focus on quality management, and the fact that our commercial farming operation allows us to farm our own hunting properties, has made all the difference for us. Over the past 20 years, we’ve built something truly special here at Hadley Creek. And we’d love for you to be a part of it!
