For almost two decades we’ve partnered with individuals who are interested in the investment opportunities and hunting opportunities that Illinois recreational and agricultural land represents. We’re frequently asked how we’re able to put the tremendous number of acres of prime Illinois ground into our operation and continue to upgrade our land quality year after year. One way it’s accomplished is by working with individuals, most of whom are Illinois non-residents, who want the benefits of owning hunting and investment property without the typical hassle (and frustration) of long range farm management.
Our Hadley Creek livelihood is dependent on our ability to find, evaluate, improve and manage land for both farming and deer hunting. It’s what we do, and we’re very good at it. By utilizing our modern full line of farm equipment, full time employees, expertise in farming, trophy deer habitat, food plot and timber management, deer stand layout, placement and maintenance, we help people realize both their recreational land and investment goals.
We keep our finger on the pulse of the land market in our area and there are some very good farms currently available and soon to be coming on the market. We’re not real estate agents at Hadley so we don’t earn commissions, but by working in partnership with our investors, we both benefit.
New Non-Land Investment Opportunity
We now have a unique opportunity to reinvest cash back into Hadley Creek’s hunting and farming operations by converting short-term notes to longer term amortized loans. For the individual(s) in a position to assist us in securing the loan with our lending partner, it can be a great opportunity as we’re willing to provide hunting privileges for the duration of the loan term. This can be an excellent opportunity for someone not necessarily interested in owning property to become part of the Hadley family and gain hunting privileges without a cash investment.
This capital infusion provides Hadley with even greater flexibility, which allows us to continue to improve and to solidify our current leadership position in the free-range trophy whitetail outfitter industry. For us, it’s a solid business decision.
The Hadley Creek Outfitters Approach
Many are surprised to learn that we just finished our nineteenth year of operation. Our dream from the start was simple…to make Hadley Creek the best free-range whitetail outfitter in the industry. To accomplish it, we knew we had to do three things. First we had to improve the trophy quality of our deer herd each year. Second, we needed an operation that would allow our clients to be successful harvesting trophy deer each season. And thirdly, we had to prove to the hunting public that we were successfully accomplishing both one and two. To do that, we promised to show the bucks we’d kill each and every season on our website, which we’ve done every year since 2000.
We’ve thrived in the good and normal years and survived in the tough ones (when many outfitters failed) because we’re dedicated, committed and we’re a bit more innovative in the way we approach our business.
