Despite the unusually warm weather this fall, our archery hunters have been successful and we’ve been fortunate to have another great season. But we finally received some cold weather during the Illinois gun season. This break in weather and even a little snow proved to be a welcome sight for our hunters and guides.

Until about halfway through November, there weren’t very many days this fall that required our hunters to put on a pair of gloves. While many folks in the industry have had a tough season, we were able to put a lot of big deer on the ground. It took a ton of hard work from our guides and hunters to overcome the challenge but we’re happy to report that it was a great season.

Those successes started coming a little easier when we finally received some cold weather during our Illinois gun hunts. We were even surprised to see a little snow. This did exactly what we hoped for hunting conditions, and our hunters capitalized on the opportunity. Our gun hunters this year killed some very nice trophy whitetails.
